If you are a wine lover, then you will love Cambados. Once a sleepy fishing village, Cambados is now famous as the Albarino wine capital of Europe. Every year in August they celebrate the Albarino wine festival which brings tens of thousands to the town. But every day of the year you can enjoy beautiful wine, outstanding seafood and beautiful historic sites in this picturesque seaside village.

A Corunna is a historic port city to the north of Santiago. It is famous for its Roman lighthouse, the Tower of Hercules. It is a city of contrasts with an excellent beach almost in the centre of town and just a 5 to 10 minutes walk from the historic old town. The old town is full of fantastic restaurants and tapas bars. So good for a day trip but also for a longer stay if you want to enjoy the food and drinks and explore the town more.

Galicia is renowned for its seafood and white wine so a great way to enjoy both of these is a boat wine day trip. Usually, these trips will have some commentary about the production of mussels while cruising the Galician Rias. You will get to sample a lot of mussels and wash it down with a lot of Albarino wine. A visit to a winery to learn about wine production is also on the cards. Along the way, you will see some amazing scenery.
There are plenty of day trips available to Finisterre which is the westernmost edge of Spain. In Roman times it was thought of as the edge of the world. These tours explore the rugged coastline and the Finisterre Lighthouse as well as several scenic spots along the way. Most of these tours take about 10 hours and they are a great way to see some spectacular scenery and get your nature on. Of course, they also allow you to tell your friends you went to the edge of the world on your holiday.
