Influences from Romans, Visigoths and Moores can also be seen across the city. The old town of Caceres is well worth visiting. Its cobbled streets and old stone buildings take you back to another time. It is one of those cities where the historic sits side by side with the present.

The Museum of Caseres is a great way to spend some time immersed in the artifacts and history of the town.

The Plaza Mayor is a great central place to take in the city and dine at one of the many restaurants.

Caceres Old Town

A visit to Torre de Bujaco lets you walk the walls and climb the tower. From there you have an excellent view across Plaza Mayor and the city.

When you are finished sightseeing, the Parque Del Principe is a lovely park to unwind and relax. It also has plenty of play and climbing areas for the kids. The park is located away from the old town and worth the short walk to get there.
